We Officially have a MAP!!!

A nice visual aid of what this world looks like to go along with this story!

I mentioned in a different newsletter that I was working out the details for a map to be included in this story. I even included a picture of the crudely made map I was currently working with.

Made on the free version of inkarnate, gets the message across but unrealistic and very simple

I made this map as a visual aid. I can’t imagine things in my head very clearly, so having something to reference back to was super helpful! And while this map is largely the biggest reason I was even able to finish the drafts following the first one, I knew it could never be used as an official one.

Legal aspects aside! This map doesn’t give a message of, “this is a well made and professionally written book!”

Especially when compared to other fantasy maps in fantasy novels. Which meant forking over some cash to get a better one.

And now! The wait is over!

When I first started discussing with the artist, I sent over the previous rough image. He was supper accommodating, splitting the payment up into two parts so that it was easier for me to afford him. Though he had three tiers of maps, I went for the most expensive one right away. Once the first payment was sent he got to work!
