Meet the characters -Crow
Who he is, and how he came to be. Why this little angry ball of fur is so precious to me.

Meet the main character- Crow! (≧▽≦)

Table of Contents
Crow is really the star of the show. The entire story is morphed around him and his struggles with love and self confidence. His mood board is very much a dark black kitty who pretends to be a loner.
Ambitions | Roadblocks | Fears |
|---|---|---|
To be the leader of Sirheit | his temper | the people he (secretly) cares about being hurt |
not being taken seriously |
Background: When he was a kitten Fern helped him and his town out during a sickness in the winter. His parents raised him to be confident, which he still is. He doesn’t like leaving the rolling hills. His parents died and he and his sister were basically adopted
How they treat people they like: revered respect, still not polite, but usually willing to shut up
How they treat people they dislike: will not shut up, open insults, might attack, do not approach
Purpose: CROWFEATHER DESERVED BETTER. He entire existence is rewriting his love story with Leafpool and having a “short” cottage core love story.
Development: Being more humble in his actions, proving himself, kindness is key
I wanted to write a character who does care, very deeply. But he cares in a harsh and aggressive way. Pointing at others and saying they need to fix everything when really the problem is within himself.
In the beginning of the story, he’s very snappy and angry. Swearing, accusing, blaming. Doing nothing to take accountability for any of his actions. But then, the story continues. Crow, instead of being gifted with more anger, is gifted with kindness.
A kindness that pushes him to show his care in different ways. Listening a little more. Sometimes, saying nothing is the best thing you can say to others. And he goes from being loud, to being a listener.
I find romance stories where the angry character changes to someone super nice and clingy strange. It’s not that characters can’t make such a large shift in who they are. It’s entirely possible, I’ve seen it in real life after all. But it’s not possible within the confines of one singular book. Regardless of how much time passes in that one book.
Inspirations!
Crow has three inspirations! Some intentional, some not at all. Haha, let’s take a look together, shall we?
